As a graduate from the Bachelor of Communications and Media Production you will be able to create, produce, and distribute media messages through the axes of knowledge focused on audio, video, journalism, movies, and digital media.  Also, you will propose solutions to communication problems in a contemporary, global, sociocultural context, in both the private and public sectors, with a critical, ethical and environmentally responsible vision.

Once you have finished your study program, you will have a bachelor´s degree in addition to a licenciatura degree.  Therefore, your studies will be recognized worldwide.

In addition to enhancing your entry skills, at the Licenciatura in Communications and Media Production we propose to:

  • Analyze theories that will allow you to approach the problem of scientific construction of knowledge in social sciences in general and specifically in communications.
  • Understand the background and development of communication studies, as well as its applications, as part of a process or as problems in communication.
  • Master the techniques of communication media production.
  • Integrate theory, methodology, and practice in solving concrete problems in communications and media production in different levels and social contexts.
  • Wants to work in radio, newspaper, television, cinema, and new media.
  • Is interested in learning to produce messages directed to different audiences.
  • Willing to work for the greater good and to be successful.
  • Is open to other fields of knowledge, and to cultural and interpersonal relations
  • Determined to achieve goals through learning.
  • Masters the creation of scripts, applying film language to prepare original productions and adaptations in different formats, such as short and feature films and documentaries.
  • Able to interpret film language in a theoretical and artistic way to create original productions and adaptations, looking to rouse reflections that impact society.
  • Knows audiovisual production techniques and creative messages drafting to solve the needs of different local, national, and global audiences.
  • Analyzes the behavior of new media users, identifying the main milestones of the digital paradigm and developing pertinent solutions for this media.
  • Able to plan audiovisual content for digital platforms using vanguard techniques and tools to adequately communicate with different audiences from public and private organizations.
  • Creates audiovisual products in traditional and digital platforms, using film language to transmit relevant messages to audiences in private and public environments.
  • Able to develop professional journalistic products in traditional and digital platforms, using journalistic writing techniques that contribute to freedom of expression in an ethical and responsible way, responding to the needs of an audience.
