As a graduate from the Bachelor of International Relations you will be able to analyze, apply, and evaluate diverse international relations and globalization theories; and to use theoretical, methodological, practical, and technical fundamentals of this area to encourage interdisciplinary dialog, interpret the environment, and provide innovative proposals of public policy before complex conflicts and global, national, and local problems in the private and public sector, as well as in organizations and international agencies.

Once you have finished your study program, you will have a bachelor´s degree in addition to a licenciatura degree.  Therefore, your studies will be recognized worldwide.

In addition to enhancing your entry skills, at the Licenciatura in International Relations we have proposed to develop you ability to:

  • Develop your reasoning, research, analysis, and oral and verbal expression skills in order to improve your persuasion abilities.
  • Train you to perform critical analysis of institutional arrangements and their effects on the possibility of economic development and political stability.
  • Teach you to analyze behavior trends of the main political actors of a country in an international environment.
  • Turn you into an expert in the creation of institutional arrangements and in the international historical and cultural processes that were involved in them.
  • Teach you to identify common patterns of institutional design, in order to predict the reactions of nations in answer to the vagaries of the international environment.
  • Make you an expert in analyzing factors such as economic development, political stability, and participation of developing countries in the international market.
  • Prepare you as a professional who masters the designs and outlines of governance that encourage cooperation between countries.
  • Likes to understand the cause of different international conflicts and their solution.
  • Is interested in the way economics, politics, and law function at a global level.
  • Willing to work for the greater good and to be successfu
  • Is interested in institutional, political, social, economic, and cultural processes of different countries.
  • Determined to achieve goals through learning.
  • Able to evaluate the theoretical-strategic orientation of emerging powers in an international context. And to provide alternative analyses that orient the behavior of international politics and comparative study of international actors, through the analysis of the structure and functioning of political systems.
  • Masters international relations and globalization theories and interprets international problems by identifying the political, social, or economic situations of states or international organizations.
  • Able to analyze the evolution of the different parties participating in the structuration of global governance, to evaluate the development of the economy, politics, society, and exercise of power, comparing their recent transformations and their repercussions on a global context.
  • Trained to distinguish the essential characteristics of the governance and globalization models, studying human behavior at an international level to manage public policies.
  • Knows the institutions, principles, and agenda of Mexican foreign policy, identifying its institutional bases, to link international problems to Mexico´s specific case.
  • Able to identify the objectives, strategies, and priorities of Mexican foreign policy to perceive the national position and influence in the face of a contemporary global agenda, identifying the institutional bases and process dynamics of decision-making that define the guidelines of foreign policy in different eras.
