MIEMBRO DEL SISTEMA NACIONAL DE INVESTIGADORES (SNI) Nivel 3

Aurelio López-Malo es Profesor del Departamento de Ingeniería Química, Alimentos y Ambiental en la Universidad de las Américas, Puebla. Ha impartido cursos y talleres en diversos países de Iberoamérica. El Dr. López-Malo es coautor del libro Minimally Processed Fruits and Vegetables, editor de 2 libros, autor de más de 30 capítulos en libros y de más de 100 publicaciones científicas en revistas arbitradas de prestigio internacional, es miembro del Consejo Editorial del Journal of Food Protection. El Dr. López-Malo recibió el Doctorado en Ciencias Químicas especialidad Tecnología de Alimentos en 2000 de la Universidad de Buenos Aires en Argentina, el grado de Maestro en Ciencias en Ingeniería de Alimentos en 1995 de la Universidad de las Américas, Puebla, y se recibió como Ingeniero de Alimentos en la misma institución en 1983. Ha presentado más de 300 trabajos en conferencias internacionales. Pertenece al Sistema Nacional de Investigadores de México como Investigador Nacional Nivel III. Es miembro del Institute of Food Technologists (IFT) de la International Association for Food Protection (IAFP) de la American Society for Engineering Education (ASEE). El Dr. López-Malo ha dirigido o codirigido más de 35 proyectos de investigación con financiamiento nacional e internacional y ha participado en diversos proyectos de consultoría industrial. Sus intereses de investigación incluyen las Antimicrobianos Naturales, Microbiología Predictiva, Tecnologías Emergentes para el Procesamiento de Alimentos, Frutas Mínimamente Procesadas, así como la Creación de Experimentos para Facilitar el Aprendizaje de las Ciencias e Ingenierías.
