As a graduate from the Bachelor of Civil Engineering you will be able to plan, design, and build basic infrastructure, applying standardized techniques and procedures to manage factors such as construction, structural engineering, water resources, geotechnics, roads, and environmental engineering to develop integral solutions that benefit society in global contexts.

Once you have finished your study program, you will have a bachelor´s degree in addition to a licenciatura degree. Therefore, your studies will be recognized worldwide.

In addition to enhancing your entry skills, at the Licenciatura in Civil Engineering we propose to:

  • Teach you to apply theoretical-practical knowledge to solve civil engineering problems.
  • Train you to be an effective communicator, a member of a team who makes decisions and shows leadership.
  • Help you understand the global impact of this profession and recognize the social responsibility of civil engineers.
  • Make you aware of the importance of continuous self-learning and commitment to your professional development.
  • Likes technology and contemporary events related to science, engineering, and technology.
  • Wants to master design strategies that promote the integral development of infrastructure.
  • Willing to work for the greater good and to be successful.
  • Determined to achieve goals through learning.
  • Able to design basic infrastructure systems and their components, using engineering, science, and math principles for specific social and environmental needs.
  • Masters analysis of experimental data from lab tests and technical reports, applying engineering and standard criteria to come up with conclusions that support decision-making.
  • Knows math, science, and engineering, and applies it to identify, formulate, and solve civil engineering problems and answer to specific needs of relevant projects.
  • Able to evaluate the impact of engineering solutions through global, economic, environmental, and social analysis to satisfy the need for efficient and effective construction.
  • Able to recommend solutions to basic infrastructure problems, by analyzing the results of standardized construction, soil, water, and structure lab tests, and reaching conclusions.
  • Skilled to identify the information technologies – tools, equipment, and software – that improve performance, identify professional links, and update knowledge.
