As a graduate from the Bachelor of Energy Engineering you will be able to evaluate, adapt, and design the processes that create, distribute, and manage energy. Your work will be carried out within a legal framework, applying efficient and sustainable technologies that use primary sources of energy, both fossil and renewable, and secondary sources such as electricity and fuel, supplying solutions for the industry’s and society’s energy needs.
Once you have finished your study program, you will have a bachelor´s degree in addition to a licenciatura degree. Therefore, your studies will be recognized worldwide.

In addition to enhancing your entry skills, at the Licenciatura in Energy Engineering we propose to:

  • Teach you to select the lowest environmental impact energy technologies, identifying their effects to specify solutions that respect the environment.
  • Help you to perceive the socioeconomic impacts of energy technologies, using ethical criteria to specify solutions that benefit society.
  • Train you in planning professional updating strategies through the use of self-learning tools to always be on the vanguard of your profession.
  • Encourage you to act with sensibility, considering the social and ethical aspects of energy project decision-making.
  • Gives preference to the most important contemporary events related to science, engineering, and technology.
  • Is interested in the interaction between mass and energy, as well as its use in the production and exploitation of energy resources.
  • Willing to work for the greater good and to be successful.
  • Determined to achieve goals through learning.
  • Able to solve engineering problems in energy, both renewable and fossil, through the selection and application of theories, concepts, models, and computer programs and equipment to propose solutions using vanguard tools.
  • Masters design of experiments through the analysis of variables, the selection and operation of equipment, and the application of analytical techniques to evaluate the results of lab tests that contribute to making decisions on energy problems.
  • Knows how to evaluate balance of mass and energy solutions, using the laws of conservation to predict energy flows of different materials to be used to their greatest advantage.
  • Able to plan experiments to measure the behavior and properties of different types of energy, conducting lab tests to establish energy quality labs and/or research centers.
  • Able to apply prediction methods for energy contents – using transport process models and theories, unit operations, electronic circuits, and physics – to select the basic criteria to design equipment that creates and transforms energy.
  • Skillful in designing equipment to synthesize and refine hydrocarbons, using the theories of phase equilibrium and catalytic chemical reaction to produce fuels that have higher content of energy with more economic processes.
