ADAM CHRISTOPHER MARPLE
Maestría en Bellas Artes en Dirección, Columbia University in the City of New York.
Licenciatura en Actuación, Wright State University.
|Adam Marple is the Co-Artistic Director of the internationally recognized Theatre of Others and was Founding Artistic Director of the NYC-based Necessary Theatre Company. Adam has directed over 50 productions Regionally and Off-Broadway in the Americas, in Europe, and across South East Asia. He has taught internationally at the Tony Award-winning Lincoln Center Theatre, Actors Theatre of Louisville, and Cincinnati Playhouse in the Park, as well as at Orvieto Sperimentazione Teatro- Italy, La MaMa Umbria-Italy, Kyoto University of Art and Design-Japan, Hong Kong Academy of Performing Arts, Chulalongkorn University- Bangkok, National School of Drama-India as well as a Lecturer for 10 years in the School of Dance and Theatre at LASALLE College of the Arts in Singapore where he taught into the Acting, Dance, Musical Theatre, and Music programs. He has been practicing and teaching the Viewpoints, a technique of training and composition that acts as a medium for thinking about Time and Space in performance, for over twenty years having worked with its founders Mary Overlie, Anne Bogart, and Tina Landau. His research is centered on the expansion and testing of The Viewpoints as an Interdisciplinary and Transcultural pedagogy. His upcoming chapter The Viewpoints as Transcultural Pedagogy will be published in Routledge’s Western Theatre in Global Contexts in January.|
